The Amarillo Jazz Society champions live jazz and jazz education across Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle. Since 2006, we’ve built a welcoming home for listeners and learners alike—presenting concerts, hosting guest artists, and investing in young musicians through scholarships, private lessons, and travel support.
We believe jazz is a living art form that grows through performance, mentorship, and community. Our programs bring world‑class inspiration to local stages and classrooms, while creating opportunities for student musicians to learn, perform, and connect. Whether you’re a longtime jazz fan or brand‑new to the music, you’re invited to be part of the story.
What We Do
Concerts & Community Events: From intimate combos to big‑band showcases, we present performances that spotlight regional talent and bring audiences together.
Jazz Education: Scholarships, private lessons, and travel assistance ensure student musicians can study, audition, and perform.
Guest Artist Workshops: Touring artists and clinicians lead masterclasses, rehearsals, and Q&As in local schools and community spaces.
School & Partner Outreach: We collaborate with educators, venues, and civic partners to expand access to jazz across the Panhandle.
